X-Ray Tech Limited Scope Operator Radiologic Technologist

Summary:
An X-ray technician, also known as a radiologic technologist, uses an X-ray machine to take radiographic images of patients. X-ray Techs provide medical images to physicians and providers to assist in making diagnoses. Images from the X-ray machine can also help in choosing a treatment plan for an injury or illness and evaluate the success of treatment.

Education/Experience:
Meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including one or more of the following:
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate medication dosing, height/weight conversions, figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher, Google Suite, and AthenaNet.

Work Environment:
Salary is commensurate with experience and education: Hourly range is $26.00- $32,00.
Clinic hours are 8 am to 7 pm Monday - Saturday and 8 am to 6 pm on Sundays.
Work Hours vary depending on the clinic.
Work week is 40 hours and runs from Sunday to Saturday.
Payroll is weekly.
Full suite of employee benefits are available on the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
